This series of card designs was carried out during a uni brief where we had to design a range of greeting cards based on a selected theme.

I believe that a greeting card allows us to connect on an emotional level with the people who have touched our lives, therefore I chose to focus on the theme of family relationships. I wanted to create illustrations that will express all the human emotions, joy, thanks, sympathy, humour, love and admiration that we experience through these different relationships.

Family relations is something that is extremely personal to me and each individual relationship I have with a different family member is so unique and different, from the experiences to the inside jokes we share - something I truly feel like so many individuals can resonate with.

Therefore I wanted to take the opportunity to create a series of cards that explores all the different relationships, ranging from a mother and daughter relationship, sister to brother, child to grandparent etc. Each card will explore an individual relationship, and capture all the different moments they share.
