I entered this illustrated short story into the ‘ANDERSEN’ competition in 2022 and won the ‘Il Premio Andersen’ award in the Illustrator’s category. The theme was ‘fairy tales and fables’ and the target audience was for 4-5 years olds. I actually drew inspiration from my own life and based the narrative on my little sister Nin and the stories she would tell me about the nightmares she encountered at night that would keep her up.

My illustrated story accompanies a little witch and her cat who has trouble sleeping at night. Her endless nightmares keep her awake and we follow her brave journey as she picks up the courage to go and face them.
