I have developed a love for printmaking in the past year, primarily focusing on lino and screen printing.

Below I have included a series of lino prints that feature elements of Vienna in the early 1900’s and the lives of these people before the Holocaust occurred. This was a live brief that I completed on my illustration course where I worked with the Holocaust Centre North. We wanted to emphasise the importance of understanding ‘post-memories’ and how previous generations’ cultural or collective experiences are remembered by means of stories, images, and behaviours. I hoped that by narrating the hardship of these people’s lives through my illustrations I could capture their stories and make sure their lives aren’t lost or unheard.
